Building 21st Century e-Teacher

21st Century e-Teacher is the result of nearly a decade long commitment to improve student achievement by harnessing the power technology holds when used effectively. Billions of dollars have been sent on getting more and newer technologies into the classroom, yet its impact on how students were taught and what they learned was inconclusive. The team behind LearniT-TeachiT, which included scores of educators, nationally known instructional technologists, corporate professionals and many others have been hard at work designing an approach that did more than just train teachers simply how to use technology.

Not just a professional development program, this holistic approach aims to support teachers in developing, applying and growing their 21st Century e-Teacher skills so as to increase students active engagement in their learning, and ultimately, their academic success. Throughout the process of building their new skills, participants model best practices, collaboratively create new 'ready to use' instructional and professional development resources and thrive in a sustainable professional learning community with their peers.

Built on scientifically-based research and the principles that result in actual results, 21st Century e-Teacher is a process that transforms how participating educators will approach teaching, their ongoing professional growth and the goal of preparing our next generation for success in school, work and life.
