Nortel is awarded one of the nine inaugural Sustainability Stars for the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in Vancouver. Nortel and VANOC's/EDU have partnered through Nortel LearniT to develop sustainable education toolkits that help teachers integrate the latest technological renewable resources, such as rich audio and video content, into classrooms throughout Canada. The Sustainability Star program is designed to draw attention to 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games sustainability innovations — which are environmental, economic and social in nature. Programs selected empower making decisions for the benefit of tomorrow's world and people.
